About the role

Do you want to help develop the workwear of the future in an international company with a strong entrepreneurial spirit? As Technical Manager at Blåkläder, you will play a key role in strengthening the technical work behind products used worldwide. Here you combine technical expertise, coaching leadership, and a focus on development in a role where you create structure, quality, and efficient working methods – close to both product development and production.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for developing and coordinating the technical work within product development and act as a vital bridge between the headquarters in Svenljunga and the company's own factories in Asia. The role is about creating the conditions for the team to succeed, driving improvements, and ensuring high technical quality throughout the entire development process.

You will among other things:

  • lead and support the team of design technicians in their daily work
  • develop technical standards, working methods, and documentation
  • ensure quality in pattern making, fit, and manufacturability
  • drive improvement and digitalization initiatives related to PLM, processes, and data quality
  • collaborate closely with product development, sourcing, and production to reduce lead times and improve precision in the development work
  • contribute to a unified and efficient working method that strengthens both quality and business

The position is based at the headquarters in Svenljunga. The role involves regular travel to the company's factories in Asia. The position reports to the Head of Product Development and leads a team of five design technicians.

About you

We are looking for you with a post-secondary education in textiles, apparel, product development, or another relevant field, combined with several years of experience in technical product development within apparel. You feel confident in matters concerning pattern making, fit, quality, and industrialization.

You likely work today in a similar role within technical product development and want to take the next step where you get greater opportunities to influence working methods, quality, and the team's development. You are a person who builds trust through collaboration, clarity, and an egalitarian approach.

We believe you have experience from international supplier environments and appreciate working closely with both people and processes. You are structured and solution-oriented, while also having the ability to see the big picture and drive change in a growing organization.

What we offer

Blåkläder is a family-owned and international company with strong growth, short decision-making paths, and a high level of ambition. Here you become part of a business where quality, sustainability, and long-term thinking permeate both products and culture. With own production and a clear development focus, there are unique opportunities to influence the entire chain – from idea to finished product.

You are welcomed into an engaged organization where collaboration, responsibility, and entrepreneurship are a natural part of everyday life.
