Join us at Bergab, where we believe that culture and community are just as important as competence and engagement. We are now looking for you who want to grow with us and help shape the future within surface and stormwater management.

About Bergab

Bergab is an independent specialist company where the key words knowledge, engagement, and collaboration permeate our corporate culture and working methods. With approximately 120 dedicated employees distributed between our offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg, we always strive to deliver high quality in our work, while valuing development and community.

We are now looking for you who want to become part of our visualization group and be part of Bergab's long-term journey forward.

About the role

The position offers a broad and varied workload where you, with your experience in hydrology and hydraulics, will become part of a group that also works with GIS and related areas. The role focuses on surface and stormwater, where you lead assignments and contribute to strengthening and broadening our business in the area.

At Bergab, we currently work on stormwater investigations for various stages, e.g., planning matters, flooding issues, permit cases, as well as control and operation of existing facilities. You will also be able to work on surface water-related issues connected to the mining industry.

We work in all stages – from investigation, design, and environmental assessment to follow-up of conditions during construction and operation – and our assignments range from smaller investigations to large and complex projects. Current examples include the follow-up of environmental permits for the West Link in Gothenburg, field investigations for a new drinking water tunnel between Vättern and Hallsberg, and work on water supply in coastal zones where saltwater intrusion is a challenge. We are particularly proud of our high competence in hydraulic field tests in both rock and soil.

In this role, you will play a central part in the development of our business area regarding surface and stormwater issues. You will contribute not only to the assignments but also to further developing our methods, processes, and business operations. Collaboration is a natural part of our way of working – both within the group and across office and business boundaries – and you will always have support from both senior and junior colleagues.

What we offer

We promote close relationships through regular meetings at the group and office level, as well as our annual conference, Bergab Days, where the entire company gathers to exchange thoughts and ideas. We also arrange study tours and other events that strengthen cohesion and well-being, such as summer and Christmas parties or simpler office activities like lunch jogs and game nights.

Our organizational culture is characterized by a lack of hierarchy and a constant strive for learning and growth together. This includes, among other things, experience feedback at our group meetings and breakfast seminars where we share our project experiences and expertise. Additionally, we offer internal training programs in areas such as hydrogeology and business skills, as well as external training as needed to continuously develop and grow.

In addition, we offer among other things:

  • Full wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK
  • Reduced working hours during summer months (7-hour workdays June-August with maintained salary)
  • Benefits portal Benify with a range of offers
  • Collective agreement and pension plan
  • Opportunity for co-ownership in the company after approx. 3 years of employment
  • Flexible working hours
  • Health insurance (optional) and health check-up

Your profile

We are looking for you who have at least five years of experience with surface and stormwater issues, preferably with a background from consultancy work. In this role, you will play an important part in developing our business area within surface and stormwater and contribute to shaping our future working methods.

You are a communicative person who takes responsibility, thrives on taking initiative, and likes to drive work forward. At the same time, you are meticulous and structured, with the ability to deliver within set timeframes. Since writing is a central part of our operations, you need to master the Swedish language at a high level, both in speech and writing.

We see that you have a civil engineering or scientific master's degree with a focus on hydrology or equivalent, and that you have several years of experience working with surface and stormwater issues. Experience from consultancy work and a B-driver's license are strong merits.
