About the Company
DFDS Logistics Services AB is a transport company within the automotive industry located in Arendal. The operation runs 24/7, six days a week, and employs approximately 250 full-time staff. The vehicle fleet consists of around 300 vehicles, including 80 trucks and 220 trailers.
About the Role
As a Shift Manager, you have overall operational responsibility for the daily operations and development of the business in close collaboration with management. You drive the work forward by planning, prioritizing, and following up on operations, always with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety.
The position is primarily based on evening shifts, where you are responsible for operations and lead the team during these working hours.
You are a visible and present leader who creates engagement within the team and ensures that employees have the right conditions to succeed in their roles.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and distribute work to ensure optimal operations.
- Coach and support employees in their development and daily work.
- Be responsible for staffing and participate in recruitment in collaboration with HR and management.
- Hold monthly meetings and follow up on goals and results.
- Work with rehabilitation, employee dialogues, and competence development.
- Actively participate in quality, safety, and work environment work.
- Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives together with the team.
- Follow up on results, analyze outcomes, and handle deviations.
- Ensure that work is conducted according to policies, laws, and guidelines.
- Conduct safety rounds and risk assessments.

Requirements for the Role:
- Relevant leadership education or equivalent work experience.
- Good computer skills, including experience with the MS Office suite.
- Experience leading and coaching teams, preferably within logistics or transport.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Good analytical skills and experience working with problem-solving.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
Ambulatory Consultant:
You are employed by us at DFDS Professionals but work at our clients' sites. Being an ambulatory consultant means that you are employed by DFDS Professionals to perform work in client companies, where the workplace, working hours, and tasks may vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing, and appointments may be made before the application deadline.
