Introduction

We are looking for a Service Technician to join our service team in Kiruna. You will be responsible for service, repairs, and preventive maintenance for Metso’s customers in the mining and industry sectors. This entails varied and practical work, both on-site at customer locations and in our own service workshop. Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring operational reliability and high service quality for our customers, contributing to an efficient and sustainable operation. In this position, you will report to the Head of Service Operations.

This position is primarily based in Kiruna. The role, with a specialization in mills, involves travel, approximately 10–20 days per year, mainly to Gällivare but also potentially to Norway and Finland.

The Team You Will Join

You will join a dedicated and cohesive team with broad technical competence, passionate about delivering high service and building long-term customer relationships in the mining and industry sectors. We currently work with service, maintenance, and development of Metso’s products and solutions at our customers' sites as well as in our own service workshop.

We work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, colleagues, and other technical specialists within Metso. Our team culture is built on collaboration, safety, accountability, and continuous development. Team members are based in Kiruna and work together to create high quality and excellent service.

What You Will Do

  • Perform service, repairs, and preventive maintenance for Metso’s customers.
  • Work with varied tasks in Metso’s service workshop.
  • Troubleshoot and ensure operational reliability of equipment and facilities.
  • Work independently on-site as well as in close collaboration with colleagues.
  • Contribute to high safety standards and a good working environment in daily work.
  • Participate in internal training and development initiatives.
  • Work with products within either the conveyor side or mills and related products.
  • Travel as needed in connection with customer assignments.

Who You Are

  • You have at least a high school education, preferably from an industrial program.
  • You have experience or education in industry, heavy industry, or mechanical work.
  • Experience from working at mining facilities or with repair and maintenance of concentrators or mills is advantageous.
  • You have a strong technical interest and a desire to develop and learn new things.
  • You are meticulous, solution-oriented, and have good technical understanding.
  • You thrive in physical work and are accustomed to working at a high pace.
  • You work equally well independently and as part of a team.
  • You are fluent in Swedish (written and spoken). English or other languages are advantageous. A valid driver’s license (Category B) is required.
