Östgöta Begravningsbyrå is a locally rooted and personally driven funeral home with operations in Norrköping, Finspång, Söderköping, and Valdemarsvik. The firm was founded in 2002 and has been run by Fredrik Blomberg since 2013. Today, the company consists of six employees who together help people through one of life's most difficult processes. For us, personal contact is crucial, and we want every meeting with us to be characterized by security, warmth, and care. A visit to us should feel like coming home to a good friend. We are an authorized funeral home and a member of the Swedish Association of Authorized Lawyers and Funeral Homes.

Your Role

We are now looking for a lawyer or an authorized estate administrator who wants to help develop our growing legal operations together with our experienced estate administrator. The legal department has grown significantly in recent years, and we now see a need to strengthen the business with additional competence. The role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of legal work within a stable and well-respected business with strong local roots.

In the role, you will mainly work with estate inventories, inheritance settlements, and administration of estates, as well as future powers of attorney, gift deeds, wills, and prenuptial agreements. You will meet with relatives in sensitive situations and help them through legal processes with professionalism, clarity, and empathy. The job involves many external contacts, and you will also build and develop collaborations with, for example, real estate agents, auction houses, and other local actors. In the long term, there are also opportunities to further develop the legal business through networking and lectures within family law.

About You

We are looking for you who have a law degree or are an authorized estate administrator and who have at least five years of experience with estate inventories, inheritance settlements, and estate administration. You are confident in your legal competence but at the same time warm, non-hierarchical, and responsive in your interactions with people. To thrive with us, you need to appreciate the culture of a smaller company where everyone helps each other and where community is an important part of everyday life.

We believe you are a person who communicates clearly and trustworthily, works carefully and independently, and has the ability to create calm and security even in emotionally demanding situations. We value a good view of humanity and are looking for someone who meets all people with respect and care, regardless of background or life situation.

You need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a B driver's license and access to a car. Good computer skills are important, and experience with systems such as Wolters Kluwer, Arkivia, or Hilja is meritorious, as is knowledge of English.
