Operations Coordinator at Academic Children's Hospital
Small hearts need great care! We are a small hospital within a large system, and it is precisely in this intimate setting that our greatness lies. Here, all the expertise a sick child could need is available, along with good cooperation, respect, and care. We offer an excellent introduction for new staff and many interesting opportunities for development. There is also unexpected joy in what can sometimes be very difficult. We take care of the children and their families, and we take care of each other – because we know we do a much better job together!
Our Operations
Academic Children's Hospital provides extensive and highly specialized pediatric care, where patient safety, quality, and collaboration are central starting points. A large part of our care is complex and involves multiple professions and departments, which places high demands on planning and coordination.
To ensure a cohesive and efficient care flow, we work with both operation coordinators and care coordinators. In the role of coordinator, you contribute to coordinating the different parts of care in a structured and quality-assured manner, with the patient's needs in focus.
We are now strengthening the coordinator group and are looking for an operations coordinator with a primary focus on patient groups within urology, orthopedics, and neurology. The position involves close collaboration with medical teams in a highly specialized environment and offers you the opportunity to participate in the development of effective and sustainable care processes.
Your Role
Within the framework of the coordination role, you have a broad network and are responsible for coordinating care efforts at Academic Children's Hospital. The work is carried out in close collaboration with several departments and functions, including anesthesia, pediatric surgery, radiology, interventional procedures, clinical physiology, as well as ophthalmology and plastic surgery.
Part of the role also involves contact with patients and their guardians, where you contribute with planning, information, and guidance prior to various examinations and procedures.
You are part of a team of operations coordinators responsible for the planning of pediatric surgery and work closely with colleagues who have similar roles or collaborate with the same partners. Together, you contribute to a structured, cohesive, and safe care process.
We are in a development phase with the goal of creating a less vulnerable and more robust coordination organization within Academic Children's Hospital. This means that the role may develop and take shape over time, with opportunities for increased responsibility and involvement in improvement and development work.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who have extensive experience in pediatric care. You are primarily a specialist nurse in child and adolescent health, but other relevant healthcare education may be considered depending on the right background and experience.
It is meritorious if you have experience in coordination roles within healthcare, project management, and collaboration at regional and national levels. We also view good administrative skills and experience working in a structured manner in complex operations positively.
To thrive in this role, you need to have good collaboration skills, be communicative, and have a holistic perspective on care processes. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We Offer
We offer a permanent position; full-time or part-time can be discussed. Start date according to agreement, as soon as possible. With us, you receive benefits that make a difference, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/ (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/)).
