Your Role

As Unit Manager at the Workplace Unit, you will belong to the Property Office. The office has overall responsibility for the premises and properties used by the authority.

Starting from this premise, you set the direction for how our workplaces develop – from initial concept to finished environment. You drive the development, adaptation, and design of inspiring and functional workplaces where operations can grow and people thrive. This includes a clear focus on business development, where you ensure the workplace design aligns with the organization's goals and future direction. At the same time, you lead the unit forward in daily operations: you prioritize, follow up, and take clear responsibility for results, employees, recruitment of new staff, and a sustainable work environment.

You extend this leadership into a broader overall responsibility for our premises. Here, you move seamlessly between the strategic and the operational – from procurement and management of support systems and service agreements to relocation coordination and long-term space planning. You stay ahead, develop forecasts, and drive the development of our workplaces both in the short and long term. In forums related to workplace issues, you become a natural gathering point, and in the authority's property projects, you step in early to ensure that operational needs shape the solutions. Additionally, you may handle and distribute incoming space cases and be responsible for the authority's art collection.

You are part of the office's management group, and the role involves many contact points both internally within the authority and externally with partners. Domestic travel occurs.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A high school diploma in property, logistics, or another education we consider equivalent.
• Documented experience of personnel responsibility, for example in roles such as team leader or project manager.
• Documented experience in business development.
• Experience working with physical work environment and workplace design.
• Very good knowledge of the MS Office package, primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Education in business development (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Education in change management and change leadership.
• Knowledge of cognitive ergonomics.
• Experience working in a state (political) organization.
• Knowledge of CAD and database management.
• Good knowledge of English, both in speech and writing.

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, approx. 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will undergo a security clearance in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be mobilized in times of war.
