Your Role

As Assistant Unit Manager, you belong to the Signals Intelligence Department, which conducts signals surveillance in accordance with the Act on Signals Surveillance in Defence Intelligence Operations. The department delivers intelligence reports and other services to the agency's commissioning bodies.

Your main responsibilities are to have operational responsibility for two of the unit's four operational areas and to develop these areas strategically in collaboration with the Unit Manager and employees.

In this role, collaboration with internal and external contacts is important, where you as the deputy manager are responsible for establishing and maintaining the right contact surfaces for the needs of the operation.

You will also be involved in the unit's and office's other activities and act as a substitute in the absence of the Unit Manager.

You report to the Unit Manager and have close cooperation with your counterparts within specific areas of responsibility. The nature of the position entails flexible working hours and domestic and international business travel.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in technology/natural sciences or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience
• Work experience from a technical role
• Good computer skills
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We consider the following to be meritorious:

• Technical development / experience of programming
• Work experience in a supervisory role within technical development work
• Work experience in business development
• Experience or knowledge of Reverse Engineering
• Experience or knowledge of databases and setting up database models
• Language skills in Russian

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, approx. 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security clearance class. Before employment, you will undergo a security check in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed.
