Our Operations
The Medical Services Department consists of outpatient care as well as emergency and planned inpatient care, focusing on the following processes: heart failure, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and infections. Additionally, outpatient care is provided for gastrointestinal and liver diseases. The department also includes a dermatology clinic operated in collaboration with Uppsala University Hospital. The operations are organized into two medical wards, a medical clinic, a rehabilitation unit, hospital-affiliated home care, and physicians within the department.
Your Role
Typical duties for a resident physician (underläkare) at the emergency department and the medical ward. The work is independent but supported by supervision from senior colleagues and on-call backup. On-call duties are included in the position.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a resident physician/authorized physician with experience in the profession. Experience with on-call shifts is meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Your Competence
You should be proactive and self-reliant, able to initiate and drive processes in a structured way that yields results. Furthermore, we value flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, as well as the capacity to plan, organize, and prioritize your work, especially since you will be working at our emergency department. We therefore appreciate that you work well with others, are receptive, express a positive attitude, and make correct assessments and prioritizations.
What We Offer
We offer a fixed-term employment for 6 months with the possibility of extension, full-time. There is an opportunity to offer specialty training (ST) in internal medicine. Start date by agreement. As an authorized resident physician with us, you will receive an experienced supervisor, one week of external training planned together with your supervisor, and the opportunity to participate in specialty training every week during the autumn and spring terms.
