We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed optometrist with contact lens authorization and have a category B driver's license.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and see that you are flexible, have good cooperation skills, are service-oriented, and structured.

What you will work with

As an optometrist with us, you work with eye examinations, fitting, and prescribing optical aids, as well as giving advice and strategies regarding the use of aids in everyday life. You plan and carry out interventions together with the patient and in close collaboration with colleagues to create the best possible rehabilitation for people with visual impairments. You meet patients of all ages and become part of both the children's and adults' teams together with vision educators, counselors, and ICT technicians. Together, you play an important role in supporting and empowering people with visual impairments in their daily lives.

Currently, we are also in an exciting development phase where we are investing in developing tele-optometry. The goal is to increase accessibility for our patients and develop new modern working methods. Here, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the development work and contribute ideas and competence to the construction of future healthcare.

The assignment also includes work at the regional eye clinic, which creates a varied and developing job. At the eye clinic, you work, among other things, with preliminary examinations before doctor visits, clinics for glaucoma patients, and participate in pediatric clinics in collaboration with orthoptists. There are great opportunities to influence and adapt and plan your work based on the practice's framework.

Syncentralen has clinics in Luleå and Gällivare, and travel for work purposes occurs.

Information about the position

We offer a permanent full-time position with start date as agreed. Working hours are Monday - Friday, daytime. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the last application day. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.

The position is within child healthcare: We apply register control before decision on employment according to provisions in the law (2013:852) on register control of persons who are to work with children.
