Kraftkällan Konsult is seeking Senior Power Systems Engineers for continued development within the group. The role involves practical engineering work in assignments, primarily for energy companies but also for industrial power installations and production facilities, with clear technical responsibility. You will work with design, analysis, and technical issues throughout the entire project chain – from feasibility studies and investigations to construction, calculations, requirements specification, and technical documentation.

The focus is on projects that are technically relevant, feasible, and developmental, rather than on volume or standardized setups.

The operations are conducted in collaboration between Kraftkällan's various offices, providing access to broad experience and specialist competence within power systems. The working style is characterized by flexibility in both workplace and working hours, taking into account both the projects' and the individual's conditions.

Examples of tasks

• Short-circuit and selectivity calculations
• Design, dimensioning, and technical investigations
• System studies and network analyses in SKM Power*Tools, DpPower, PSS/E
• Connection of large power installations (industry, wind, solar, battery, etc.)
• Procurement processes
• Control system and construction work
• Testing and commissioning
• Preparation of technical documentation and materials
• Customer and authority contacts as well as technical support in projects

Your background and work style

We are looking for you who are educated in power systems or have equivalent competence through work experience. You have five years or more of experience in power systems and have worked in assignments for energy companies, industrial, or production facilities.

You have solid technical competence, for example in calculations and dimensioning of power grids, construction of substations and control systems, relay protection, or configuration of protection and control systems. You also have a good understanding of the power system's structure as well as applicable regulations and standards.

Experience with control systems, relay protection, construction, EBR, SS-EN standards, and calculation and analysis tools such as SKM Power*Tools is advantageous.

The role suits you who work in a structured and analytical manner, are confident in both independent work and collaboration, and thrive in a consultant role with close customer dialogue. You have the ability to communicate technical issues in a clear and pedagogical way.

You do not need to meet all the merits listed above. The important thing is that you have the technical level required to independently take responsibility in assignments and can contribute relevant competence.
