Description of the Workplace

The City Hall Restaurant offers lunch service to civil servants in the City Hall, as well as catering for events and conferences held in the municipal building and the cultural stage "Estrad". As the municipality profiles itself as a sustainable food municipality (see www.dietforagreenplanet.se (http://www.dietforagreenplanet.se)), this means that the operation continuously serves as the "municipality's showcase" regarding sustainable food production and consumption. This includes, for example, primarily using organic foods that are locally sourced and in season. The City Hall Restaurant actively participates in the municipality's development projects related to food issues under the leadership of the Food Service Unit. Therefore, it is an advantage if you have previously worked in a food service operation with a sustainability focus.

Your Responsibilities

As an employee at the City Hall Restaurant, you work in an operation that serves meals and other catering to civil servants and visitors in the Södertälje City Hall. The café and lunch operations are open on weekdays. In addition, the City Hall Restaurant is responsible for catering at arrangements such as meetings, conferences, and other events in the City Hall and at the Södertälje City Stage. The role may occasionally involve evening and weekend work.

We are now looking for an employee for our service in the lunch and café operations, as well as for other events in the City Hall that require catering.

We are looking for a cheerful and creative employee for our café/restaurant and conference operations.

Here, you work in the café, the lunch restaurant, and within the conference activities.

Are you someone who enjoys variety, meeting people, and creating wonderful environments?

No two days are alike. One moment you are preparing sandwiches and salads, the next you are building an inspiring conference environment or serving guests at an evening event.

Requirements:

• At least 20 years old to be responsible for serving alcohol.
• Restaurant experience with alcohol service.
• Conference and event experience.
• POS (cash register) skills.
• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing.
