Job Description

Are you at the beginning of your career in electronics and want to work with technology where both precision and functionality are crucial? At AFRY, we are now looking for a Junior Electronics Developer for an exciting assignment within the defense industry.

Here, you will work close to the hardware and deepen your understanding of how electronics actually function – in reality.

In this role, you work at the intersection of electronics design and production, focusing on how circuit boards and electronic systems are realized and function in practice.

You will work with circuit board production, electronics flows, and technical preparations, ensuring that the design is correctly implemented, testable, and robust. Much of the work takes place in MES systems, where you define and structure how the electronics should be built and verified.

The role is technically broad and gives you a deep understanding of the entire chain – from design to finished product.

The work takes place on-site at the customer and requires you to undergo a security clearance check.

Examples of Responsibilities

• Work on technical preparations related to circuit boards and electronics
• Ensure that design and construction function in real hardware
• Develop and structure workflows in MES systems
• Troubleshoot, test, and verify electronics
• Contribute to the improvement of electronics design and manufacturing methods
• Collaborate closely with design, testing, and quality assurance
• Work practically with electronics and product-related activities

Qualifications

We believe you have:

• Civil or University Engineer degree in Electronics (BSc or MSc)
• Approximately 1–3 years of work experience in a relevant area (if you have longer experience, you are of course also welcome to apply)
• A strong technical interest and willingness to work hands-on
• Experience with e.g., soldering, assembly, or similar is meritorious
• Basic understanding of PCB/PCA and electronics design is a plus
• Swedish citizenship (requirement for the position)
• Ability to work on-site
