Job Description

AVL continues to grow within automotive software and is now looking for a Software Engineer – Connected Systems to join our team in Gothenburg.

This role is for you if you thrive with responsibility, technical challenges, and working in an international environment. You will become part of a growing team and contribute to the development of tomorrow's digital and connected solutions within the automotive industry.

In this role, you will work on software development related to digital products and platforms within the automotive sector. You may work with examples such as backend platforms for connected vehicles, Android-based infotainment systems, or cloud-based services within automotive. You will collaborate closely with both AVL's internal experts and our customers, focusing on modern development environments, quality, and technical innovation.

AVL is a leading partner in Electromobility, Vehicle, and ADAS/AD within the automotive and energy industries. In Sweden, we have approximately 250 employees based in Gothenburg, Haninge, Stockholm, and Södertälje. As an engineer here, you will work closely with experts both globally within AVL and at our customers' sites – always with cutting-edge technology.

You will work on the development, testing, and further development of software in product-near environments within the automotive industry. The role includes designing and implementing new features as well as working with existing systems and platforms.

Work takes place in agile and cross-functional teams where you collaborate closely with developers, testers, and other technical functions to create stable and sustainable solutions.

Depending on the assignment, the work may focus on backend development, cloud-based services, or Android-based systems within infotainment and HMI, with a focus on quality, performance, and user experience.

Profile Description

We are looking for you who have a combination of technical skill, curiosity, and a strong desire to contribute to complex development projects.

We are looking for you who have a university degree in computer science, software development, IT, or equivalent, along with a few years of experience in professional software development.

You have good knowledge of Java, Kotlin, or C# and feel comfortable in modern development environments. We would like you to have experience with backend development, Android development, or cloud-based systems.

Furthermore, you have experience with Git-based development workflows as well as understanding of CI/CD and automated testing. Experience with Linux-based development environments is also valuable for the role.

You communicate fluently in English and thrive in collaborative and international environments.

Merits
