About the role
We are looking for a Project Manager with strong business and project understanding to work closely with the Commercial Project Manager in a complex and business-critical project. The role offers significant influence and the opportunity to contribute to a structured project execution, ensuring the project's goals, deliverables, and timelines are met. Act as the closest support and deputy to the Commercial Project Manager, with independent responsibility for steering and overall monitoring of daily project execution.
Operatively drive daily project management through active prioritization, coordination, and monitoring of activities and deliverables. Ensure structure, progress, and clear working methods in project steering and planning, especially in a partially unstructured project environment. Work with and monitor the project schedule, milestones, and critical dependencies, taking into account the project's contractual and overall goals.
Prepare, compile, and present status reports, analyses, and decision-making materials to project management, steering group, and customer. Drive and support change management (Change Requests), including analysis of impact on time, cost, and delivery. Ensure correct, clear, and traceable documentation of decisions, changes, risks, and deviations. Identify and manage planning, operational, and commercial risks, and initiate and follow up on actions.
Act as deputy Commercial Project Manager when needed, including responsibility for customer dialogue and decision-making within given mandates. Contribute to professional, efficient, and trust-based collaboration between internal functions and external parties.
About you
Relevant academic education and at least five years of experience in leadership and/or project management within technically and organizationally complex industrial projects. Experience from the railway industry is an advantage.
Requirements for good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience in leading and coordinating daily project work in larger project environments with many dependencies and stakeholders.
Good habit of reporting, follow-up, and preparation of decision-making materials at project management and steering group level.
Good understanding of the relationship between operational project execution, planning, and consequences for the project's goals, time, and cost.
A clear holistic perspective on project management, with focus on time, cost, scope, risk, and overall business goals.
Structured and analytical working method, with the ability to quickly grasp complex issues.
It is important to have a proactive and action-oriented approach, where you drive progress and contribute to well-founded decisions.
Good communicative and leadership skills, with the ability to create clarity, trust, and engagement in the project organization.
A non-hierarchical attitude and good collaboration skills – you thrive working closely with others in joint deliveries.
