Do you want to work close to the heart of the electrical power industry – with control facilities in some of Sweden's most critical energy projects? Proelektro is now looking for a Senior Electrical Designer who wants to take overall technical responsibility for projects within power grids, substations, and wind power – in a company with very high competence, short decision-making paths, and long-term ambitions.

About the role

As an Electrical Designer at Proelektro, you work with the electrical design of control and substation facilities within local, regional, and transmission networks. The role is senior, independent, and technically in-depth – with great freedom to plan and drive your work from design to finished facility.

You will be part of a highly competent team with long experience in electrical power, relay protection, and substation automation. The work is primarily carried out from the office (Tullinge or Arlanda Stad) with the possibility of hybrid work. Travel occurs in connection with testing and commissioning but is well planned.

Proelektro is the general agent and sales partner for SEL (Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories), which means close collaboration with international contacts, primarily in England and Italy.

Main responsibilities

• Electrical design of control facilities for power grids and industry
• Creation of circuit diagrams in CAD-based design tools
• Preparation of connection tables, equipment lists, and cabinet documentation
• Circuit testing and functional testing
• Involvement in the commissioning of facilities
• Technical dialogue with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
• Participation in projects such as:

• 130 kV receiving stations for wind power connection
• Modifications and reconstructions of 220 kV facilities

Experience and competence

• At least 6–7 years of experience as an Electrical Designer in electrical power/control facilities
• Experience with substations, distribution stations, and power grid facilities
• Experience in designing control and protection systems
• Good understanding of electrical power systems and technical documentation
• Post-secondary education as a university engineer, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
