At Husum Care and Nursing Home, we are now looking for three dedicated colleagues to join our team!

Together, we work to ensure our residents receive the right support based on their needs – delivered with respect, kindness, and a professional attitude. The facility is staffed around the clock by skilled and dedicated personnel who work together to provide the best possible care, service, and support.

The permanent positions include the following shifts:

  • 100% Day/Evening/Weekend
  • 100% Night
  • 40-60% Permanent Weekend

Job Responsibilities

As a team member, your primary task is to provide support, motivation, and care to our residents. We work with a health-promoting approach aimed at strengthening individuals' own abilities, ensuring that everyone living with us has the opportunity to live life fully throughout their lives. Participation, development, and community are key words for us, where continuous improvements create the conditions for high quality.

The job responsibilities include personal care, contact person duties, as well as social and physical activities together with our residents. We work in a team-based manner, meaning that many different professional groups share the common goal of creating a good quality of life and a pleasant environment for our residents.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nurse assistant (undersköterska) or have other education or experience that the employer deems sufficient. We would appreciate if you have further education in geriatrics and/or dementia or psychiatry. Experience working in healthcare and social services is an advantage.

It is important that you enjoy and thrive in working with people, and that you are flexible and open to new ideas and working methods.

Sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required for the job to, among other things, communicate with residents, perform care documentation, and obtain medication delegation.

We would appreciate if you have a driver's license, as there are limited opportunities to commute to and from work via public transport.

Approximately 2,500 employees work in the Welfare Administration. During the interview process, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Approved documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record register are required. We appreciate knowledge of Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

Several positions in our municipality are classified for security reasons, so security clearance may be required. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
