Within the Swedish Police Authority's IT department, we develop systems that are crucial for Sweden's border control and provide the police with better conditions to prevent and stop crime.

Our office is located in modern premises in central Stockholm. We offer flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home up to 2 days a week. We value a good work-life balance where you have great opportunities to influence your daily life.

We are now looking for an experienced Project Lead for the Border Surveillance group. In this role, you will shape the interaction between national systems and EU-wide solutions. The section is responsible for a technically complex flow rather than individual products, where security, privacy, and usability must be combined in every solution. You will lead the work in an environment characterized by new development, where you create synergies between teams and user flows to deliver a cohesive experience. Through your work, you will directly contribute to strengthening the police's capabilities both in Sweden and Europe.

Job Description

As a Project Lead with us, you are part of and lead our self-organizing agile development team. You drive the work from initiation to delivered business value and are responsible for planning, follow-up, and communication regarding ongoing projects.

You are our natural link outward, building strong relationships with various stakeholders in other IT and business groups. But above all, you are there for your team. Your main task is to ensure that you have the best possible conditions for success, to develop together, and to have fun at work.

Our goal is to deliver the right things at the right time through small, continuous deliveries. Here, we all share an agile mindset where we lift each other, deliver together, and are always there to help where it is needed most.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • A degree from a university/college of at least three years in a field relevant to the position, or equivalent acquired experience that the Swedish Police Authority assesses as equivalent
  • Extensive relevant and current experience leading, planning, and coordinating a development team's projects from initiation to delivery in roles such as Product Owner, Project Lead, or Project Manager
  • Several years of experience leading projects using agile methodologies in development teams
  • Experience planning and leading workshops and work meetings
  • Excellent command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Swedish citizenship

It is meritorious if you have experience with the following:

  • Gathering business needs and converting them into requirements
  • Technical system administration
  • Good technical understanding

Personal qualities:

We are looking for someone who is engaged, structured, and has an agile mindset. You enjoy working in a group and are driven by your team's successes, while also being self-reliant and comfortable making independent decisions. Since the role involves interaction with many different roles, it is important that you are a good communicator who adapts your communication to the different roles you collaborate with. If you also enjoy inspiring others and sharing your knowledge, you will thrive with us.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
