How do we ensure that technical systems in road and railway facilities operate 24/7, year-round? This requires project managers who can combine strong collaboration skills with technical understanding, structure, and a clear drive forward. Do you want to become part of our team?

The Infrastructure Systems Project Unit is one of six project units within the West Maintenance District. The unit is responsible for technical systems related to roads and drives projects to continuously maintain, manage the lifecycle of, and develop existing equipment. In the near future, technical systems in railway facilities will also be included, which is why we are now expanding our team.

As a project manager, your tasks will include, for example:

• managing and leading contracts for operation and maintenance as well as reinvestment
• ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and procedures
• responsible for developing business plans and forecasting
• responsible for continuity and safety work for current systems
• responsible for preventive and proactive work regarding product vulnerabilities and risk analyses
• contributing to and supporting the organization in the design of maintenance for the received facility (initially the central station, followed by the entire West Link)

As a project manager, you will work on projects focusing on technical control and monitoring systems for railways, although other types of technical systems may also fall within your area of responsibility. On this unit, we collaborate closely to maintain the availability of our facilities. This means that you will both lead your own projects and, when necessary, provide a supportive function to your colleagues. You have economic responsibility for the projects and continuously monitor the operations, which includes managing procured contractors and suppliers, as well as planning, budgeting, and conducting procurements.

Who are you?

In this project management role, you will have a unique opportunity to build up a maintenance operation from scratch – perfect for you who are attracted by creating something new and appreciate room for your own initiatives! To succeed in the role, you need to be good at building long-term relationships and have the ability to quickly find your way in structure and prioritization, even in situations where there are no established working methods to rely on. The project manager role also involves a wide range of contact surfaces, both internally and externally, which in turn requires good communication, anchoring, and a curious approach.

We are looking for you who have:

• a university or college education with a technical focus (180 ECTS credits) or equivalent work experience
• several years of current and relevant work experience in project management or project control for technical systems with various types of higher-level control and monitoring systems within industry, process plants, or road/railway facilities
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• valid driver's license for passenger car

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience of procurements and contracts according to LOU and General Provisions and AB/ABT
• experience of handling contracts according to ABFF
• experience of working with control and monitoring systems within industry, process plants, or road/railway facilities
• experience of cost calculation, forecasting, and cost monitoring related to contracting activities

The employment is subject to a security check without placement in a security class. For employment, a passed result in the security check is required, which is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
