As Head of the Director General's Office, you play a central role in the agency's overall management and development. You provide qualified strategic support to the Director General and contribute to strengthening the agency's ability to prioritize, plan, and monitor operations in both the short and long term. The Director General's Office is newly established, offering significant opportunities to help shape the role.
About the Job
As Head of the Director General's Office, you work to ensure cohesive, effective, and efficient management, as well as well-functioning preparatory processes and clear, short decision-making paths in matters of strategic importance.
In this role, you report directly to the Director General and are a member of the agency's management group.
The role includes overall responsibility for effective collaboration between several central functions. This includes, among other things, financial management, business planning and monitoring, reporting and controlling, internal control and governance, procurement, information management, as well as security and premises issues.
The Chief Economist, Sustainability Manager, Consumer Protection Economist, Senior Advisor to the Director General, Executive Assistant to the Director General, and Head of the Management Department all report to the Head of the Director General's Office.
Your Education and Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- substantial strategic experience in large organizations, close to top management
- extensive experience in business management, planning, and monitoring
- experience in managerial or leadership roles
- good knowledge of areas where the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) conducts supervision
- an academic degree in a field relevant to the assignment, such as economics, political science, law, or equivalent
- excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
- work close to agency management or equivalent
- internal control and governance in public sector operations
- change and development work in large organizations
- leading or coordinating cross-functional processes.

Through structure, judgment, and professionalism, you translate overarching goals into concrete operations and contribute to efficient and trust-building management.
