Region Sörmland seeks care assistants and students for summer vacancies in 2026

Region Sörmland, with operations in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping, is now seeking staff to strengthen our teams during the summer of 2026. We are looking for qualified care assistants as well as students in care assistant, nursing, and medicine programs.

Your responsibilities

The healthcare department in Region Sörmland is looking for you who want a stimulating job with varied and interesting assignments. You should enjoy working with people, be flexible, and have good teamwork skills and a high sense of responsibility.

You will perform, plan, and follow up on care work within healthcare at the clinic where you are placed.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have a completed education as a care assistant. In addition to your grades as a care assistant, you need a certificate of your professional license as a care assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) or a certificate stating that you were employed as a care assistant on July 1, 2023.

We are also looking for you who are:

• A care assistant student who has completed at least term 4 by the summer of 2026.
• A nursing student who has completed term 3 by the summer of 2026.
• A medical student who has completed term 3 by the summer of 2026.

Since the work largely involves communication, we require that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Multilingualism is an advantage.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment terms

Fixed-term employment. Irregular working hours may occur as we operate 24/7. Start dates are ongoing, according to agreement.
