Who are we?
At Digitalization and IT, a department within the Growth and Development Office, we work to drive and strengthen the municipality's digital development. Our mission is to create a modern, secure, cost-effective, and flexible IT environment for the entire Municipality of Norrköping – a task that spans everything from robust infrastructure and information security to service development, innovative digital solutions, and a seamless digital workplace for all employees.
We are approximately 100 employees striving to make digital technology a natural and value-adding part of the municipality's operations. In a world where cyber threats are a reality, we now need to further strengthen our information security work to provide both employees and residents with secure, accessible, and efficient services.
Your responsibilities
The Municipality of Norrköping is about to take the next major step in implementing a management system for information security – and you will be one of the employees who becomes a key person in the work together with the CISO and support functions out in the operations.
In the role of Information Security Strategist, you have an overarching, strategic, and tactical responsibility. Your direct manager is the Development Manager at the Department of Digitalization and IT. You work closely with colleagues throughout the department as well as in broad collaboration with, among others, city lawyers, the city archive, the security unit, and representatives from offices and companies.
You meet with managers and employees in all of the municipality's operations and, based on their different needs and conditions, you create engagement, provide training, and build a security culture where information security is an integrated part of the work.
Your assignment includes, among other things, helping to establish a systematic and sustainable approach and attitude towards information security. You do this by coordinating, developing working methods, and following up on the municipality's information security work. You will be involved in developing training initiatives in the area and participate in internal and external networks. Your work also includes introducing and coordinating activities related to the Cyber Security Act.
You work to create security by increasing security awareness in offices and companies and drive and participate in projects where your specialist competence is needed.

Who are you?
We are looking for you who have an academic education in a field suitable for the position. You have experience working with information security, such as leading or participating in information classification and risk analyses, preferably from the public sector. You have an interest in environmental monitoring and how information security can contribute to a safe and functioning everyday life for both employees and residents.
It is meritorious if you have previously coordinated and implemented information and training initiatives and have experience in change management to get both the organization and individuals on board in a good way.
We are looking for you who thrive in a role where you get to structure, develop, and create order and clarity. You are good at translating routines and documentation into actual action, and you are receptive, proactive, and enjoy collaborating and building relationships and trust.
You are also good at tactical steering – you have the ability to combine parts into a whole and break down overarching goals into manageable activities. Since the Municipality of Norrköping is in a development phase, you need to be pragmatic, tactical, and flexible while maintaining a strategic height in your thinking. We believe you like to do a good job!
You have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.
