Your Role

As a Systems Safety Engineer at Saab Dynamics, you will work on the development of advanced defense products, primarily missiles.

Your role with us involves ensuring that our products meet the requirements and expectations our clients have regarding user safety—system safety. You will achieve this by actively participating in the technical work throughout the entire development process, from identifying product safety risks and developing safety requirements, to design analysis, verification of the final product, including analysis of requirement fulfillment.

We expect you, as a Systems Safety Engineer, to have sufficient breadth to learn and understand the entirety of our products, as well as sufficient depth to communicate how the system is intended to function with those responsible for subsystems and components.

You will operate within many technical areas, and your contacts within the company will be broad. You will have structured processes in our business system and method descriptions in our internal databases at your disposal. You will often collaborate in project form with other engineers from different parts of the development unit within Saab Dynamics.

Our projects vary in size, which places high demands on your flexibility as you may need to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Your Profile

You are a university-level engineer (or equivalent) with several years of work experience, preferably with experience or interest in systematic product safety work, with a focus on one or more areas such as software, mechanics, and electronics. It is an advantage if you have experience working according to an established standard in the field, e.g., MIL-STD 882E or equivalent. Previous experience from the automotive industry is also considered an advantage.

It is important that you have a holistic perspective, good collaboration skills, and the ability to drive your work forward independently. You communicate well in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
