The Role

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for Health & Safety (H&S) work in Sweden. Your function holds a central and visible position in the organization, providing significant scope for influence. The role has evolved from a local focus to a clear group perspective. You are responsible for implementing and anchoring working methods and directives from SigmaRoc, an English industrial group, operating in an international environment with clear British influences.

A major focus moving forward is to further develop and strengthen work regarding audits and inspections according to the group's structure, as well as to drive ongoing change work where safety issues are integrated as a natural part of everyday life with higher documentation requirements. You will have the space to work entrepreneurially, influencing both working methods and how the assignment is shaped in practice. For the right person, there are good opportunities for development within the group.

In the role, you will also:

• Ensure compliance with Swedish occupational health and safety legislation in combination with group guidelines
• Support and coach managers in occupational health and safety-related matters
• Translate policies and directives into practical and understandable working methods within the organization
• Plan and conduct audits and inspections according to the group's requirements
• Drive and develop systematic occupational health and safety work and risk analyses
• Lead and participate in projects from an H&S perspective, for example during major operational changes, demolition work, or similar
• Drive change work and create understanding and engagement among employees regarding safety issues
• Collaborate broadly with managers, employees, contractors, transport companies, and drivers
• Conduct training and ensure effective implementation of group directives

We would like you to have

• Relevant education in health and safety, for example as an occupational health and safety engineer, or equivalent experience
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A few years of experience working in HS/HSE, preferably from operations with a high safety focus such as manufacturing industry, production, mining, airport, oil industry, or similar.
• Good understanding and experience of occupational health and safety legislation and familiarity with working with systematic occupational health and safety work, risk analyses, and monitoring of key figures
• Experience in conducting audits
