Your role

An experienced systems safety engineer who sees the big picture while also being able to dive deep into the details, a team member who is also ready to take responsibility and lead.

The section's mission is to ensure in a business-like manner that our products are safe to handle, while being fit for purpose and competitive from a business perspective.

As a systems safety engineer with us, you are involved throughout the entire product development cycle to ensure the systems safety properties both during product development and for the delivered product. You work in close collaboration with other development engineers to ensure that the product is systems safe from the start – safety is not something you paint on afterwards.

We believe you are interested in understanding how the systems work in great depth, while also appreciating standards, formal processes, and careful documentation as pleasant companions in everyday work. In your daily work, you will work in several different projects while being part of a knowledgeable systems safety team, which means you will have very good conditions for quickly getting up to speed with the work.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in systems safety and are ready to contribute your competence from day one. We believe you have been around long enough to have a good sense of when it is "good enough" and time to take the next step in the development process. You should have experience working with and based on quality processes that regulate the work. You are welcome to have experience and be ready to take technical leadership roles.

One of the most important aspects for the position is that you have a combination of strong personal drive, the ability to communicate and collaborate with other people, and a broad technical interest.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
