We are looking for an experienced Network Architect for a consultancy assignment with a larger organization with a complex IT environment. You will have a central role in developing and shaping the future network architecture and contributing to strategic initiatives within network services.

About the Role

In this role, you work as a consultant at the client's site and become a key person in the development of network services. You work both strategically and operationally with architecture issues and collaborate closely with specialists and other stakeholders in the organization.

  • Develop solution architecture and long-term design proposals

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives in the network area

  • Collaborate with technical specialists and business units

  • Ensure that solutions align with the overall vision

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include the analysis, design, and documentation of network solutions in a large-scale environment. You drive the architecture work forward and ensure that the solutions are robust, future-proof, and well-founded.

  • Map solution alternatives and propose architectural decisions

  • Identify areas for improvement and necessary transitions

  • Create and document HLD (High-Level Design) and SAD (System Architecture Design)

  • Visualize solutions and clarify benefits, risks, and dependencies

  • Ensure that solutions follow technical guidelines

  • Work with documentation, modeling, and knowledge sharing

  • Contribute to estimates regarding cost, time, and risk

Your Background

To succeed in the role, you are an experienced architect with a strong technical background in networking and experience working in large organizations with high demands for quality and structure.

  • At least 3 years of experience as a solution architect in complex environments

  • At least 5 years of experience as a network specialist or Tech Lead

  • Broad competence in switching, routing, load balancing, WLAN, firewalls, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and data center communication

  • Good knowledge of EVPN, BGP, and VXLAN

  • Very good proficiency in Swedish and English

Preferred Qualifications

It is an advantage if you have experience from similar assignments in organizations with high demands for structure, governance, and documentation.

  • Experience from the public sector or regulated industry

  • Experience with tools such as Visio, Jira, and Confluence

  • Experience with agile working methods, preferably SAFe

  • Experience leading workshops and technical forums

  • Experience with data center migrations (on-prem)

  • Architecture certification
