Interim Department Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Interim Department Manager for an exciting assignment in Stockholm.

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for a large operation, with personnel responsibility for over 50 employees, including 6 subordinate managers. This assignment is ideal for you if you are a confident and strategic leader with experience in change management, public sector operations, and business control.

The organization is undergoing a comprehensive digital transformation and organizational change, focusing on modernization, data-driven working methods, and the development of future processes and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the operation through subordinate managers
• Responsible for the department's operational and strategic work
• Work with portfolio management and business accountability
• Drive change and development initiatives
• Ensure efficient work processes and operational goals
• Contribute to the development of digital working methods and AI support in operations
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Extensive experience in leadership and management roles
• Experience leading operations through other leaders
• Experience with portfolio management, business accountability, and significant financial responsibility
• Experience with public procurement
• Experience in change management and organizational development

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience from both private and public sectors
• Experience in category-managed purchasing
• Experience in digital development and AI-related operational processes
