Job Description

Background of the assignment:

The IT unit of Sollentuna Municipality primarily constitutes a buyer organization, which means the unit determines strategies and formulates requirements based on the operations' needs. Based on this, services are procured from private actors used in the operation of the business.

Description of the assignment:

We at IT Support provide support and assistance to all of the municipality's users in the form of user-centric and personal service. We are the face of the entire IT unit, which means that as an employee in support, you need to have the user in focus, be solution-oriented, and provide fast and good service. As an IT support staff member, you handle both fault reports, orders, and onsite support.

IT Support provides IT, telephony, and conference technology support, and acts as the municipality's SPOC (Single Point of Contact) regarding IT-related questions. IT Support works on a schedule, which also implies some work in the evenings and on weekends (not major holidays). Therefore, you who are applying must be willing to work both evenings and weekends, combined with daytime hours.

Some of the tasks included:

• 1st line support via phone, email, case management system, and onsite visits.
• Work with troubleshooting and resolving incidents, as well as handling orders from users.
• Analyze, categorize, prioritize, and escalate incoming cases.
• Follow up and provide feedback on ongoing cases.
• Assign and monitor cases to/from our suppliers.
• Handle user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
• Solve problems and troubleshoot hardware, primarily within the Windows environment.
• Handle telephone subscriptions such as orders and cancellations, etc.
• Handle IT orders for hardware and software, licenses, etc.

Requirements:

We are looking for a consultant who is service-oriented, solution-oriented, enjoys customer interaction, and is willing to do the little extra to help, and who has:

• At least 1 year of experience working with IT support or in a Service Desk.
• Experience in technical troubleshooting of both hardware and software, primarily around clients.
• Experience in installation and configuration of clients, especially Windows 11.
• Knowledge/experience of Windows, O365, Active Directory, Outlook & Teams, and remote tools.
• Good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Completed high school education.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in a municipal IT support (or similar organization).
• Worked with classifying and categorizing support cases in a case management system.
• Technical education within IT.
• Experience with iOS and Android, MDM.
