About the role

Do you want meaningful work where you contribute to clean and safe healthcare environments? ISS is now looking for engaged and flexible cleaning substitutes for the summer months of 2026 to work at Akademiska Sjukhuset during regular staff vacations.

As a cleaner within ISS Healthcare Region Uppsala, you play a vital role in creating a pleasant and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The work takes place in healthcare facilities where the demands for precision, hygiene, and professional interaction are very high. Together, we have a responsibility for a socially critical function, and it is therefore of utmost importance that you are ready to share this responsibility with us.

Examples of tasks:

• Daily and periodic cleaning according to the Swedish standard SS 8760014:2017 (Insta 800)
• Refilling of materials and consumables
• Cleaning of patient areas, reception areas, and common spaces
• Evening cleaning of cleanrooms and laboratories
• Operating ride-on scrubbers and other cleaning machines as needed
• Communication and collaboration with healthcare staff

The positions are hourly contracts during regular staff vacations, as well as work on short notice in case of illness or other leave. This initially involves fixed-term positions at various employment levels.

The location is Akademiska Sjukhuset and partly Fyrislund.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and service-oriented. You understand the importance of working methodically and following routines, especially in a healthcare environment where cleanliness and hygiene are crucial for patient safety. You enjoy working independently but also collaborate well with colleagues and healthcare staff. Your interaction with customers, patients, and colleagues is characterized by respect, consideration, and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Ability to work on short notice in Uppsala

Merits:

• Experience in cleaning, preferably within a healthcare environment
• Experience operating cleaning machines, such as a ride-on scrubber
