Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a secure and driven Property Engineer for the Technical Office. Together with your professional colleagues, you are responsible for the management and development of Sandviken Municipality's properties. Our property portfolio consists largely of schools, preschools, and care residences, but we also manage sports facilities, offices, and commercial properties, among others. In addition to your engineer colleagues, you will have close cooperation with property coordinators, project managers, and operations within the unit, as well as other units at the Technical Office.

As a Property Engineer, you will be responsible for the management and development of your own property portfolio. The position includes overall responsibility for your properties with a overarching responsibility to maintain good technical condition. Management means that you are responsible for the short- and long-term maintenance of the properties with the aim of preserving their value, where you work for a long-term and sustainable strategy.

Some of your tasks include acting as a client and procuring smaller projects, maintenance, and property operations. You are also responsible for customer contacts, where you are expected to have close cooperation with your tenants/operations, supporting them with property-related issues and driving the work from idea to satisfied customer. You ensure that authority requirements are met and follow up on operational economics together with energy controls.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who have a university or university college education in the building technology area, or alternatively many years of working experience from working in the building technology area. You are curious, interested, and have good experience in working with long-term and sustainable management of buildings. A large part of your role involves contact with various external parties, which places demands on your ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. We assume that you have good computer skills with experience working in the Office package, as well as a B-driver's license, as travel within the municipality is included in the position.

If you additionally have several years of experience working with public buildings, we see this as strongly meritorious. Knowledge and experience of property economics and/or experience as a Bas P and/or previous experience with the management system Vitec are also considered meritorious.

Since you, as a Property Engineer, are responsible for customer contact in your property portfolio and are the face outward in your contact with our tenants, we are looking for you who can and want to provide good service. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach and have the interest, will, and ability to help others while striving to deliver solutions.
