Your responsibilities

As a geomembrane welder at Ponova Nordic, you will primarily work on projects across Sweden, and in some cases also in Norway. The role involves significant travel, where you will typically be away during the week, especially during the high season which usually runs from April to October.

Your main tasks consist of geomembrane welding within civil engineering projects, where you are responsible for preparation, execution, and follow-up. The work also includes planning, documentation, and quality assurance, where you continuously document the work through self-inspections and photography. You collaborate closely with customers and other professional groups on-site, and you may also coordinate or lead parts of the work.

In addition to welding, it is important that you have a flexible attitude towards work. During periods with fewer geomembrane projects, you will also support the business in other related tasks, for example within warehousing or pipe brake assembly. The role is seasonal with high intensity from spring to autumn, where the pace is fast and projects are numerous.

Since Ponova Nordic has its office/warehouse in Gävle, we prefer that you are residing in Gävle or the surrounding area.

Your profile

We are looking for you with a practical and technical background who enjoys hands-on work. You likely have experience from the construction and civil engineering industry, for example as a civil engineer, plumber, or in similar trades. Experience with geomembrane welding is meritorious but not a requirement - we are happy to train you if needed!

To succeed in the role, you need to have a structured approach and good ability to plan your work, as projects often require foresight and precision. You are comfortable reading simple drawings and documenting your work in a clear and systematic manner. Furthermore, you have a B-class driver's license and good proficiency in Swedish (both spoken and written), along with basic English.

As a person, you are independent, responsible, and flexible. You appreciate a job that involves travel and overnight stays and see it as a natural part of your daily life. At the same time, you are a team player who contributes to good collaboration and a positive atmosphere in the team.
