We are looking for a Project Manager in general railway with a focus on chemical weed control for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).

This is a consulting assignment based in Gävle. The assignment starts in early August and runs until the end of September, with the possibility of extension.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are looking for a Project Manager in general railway with a focus on chemical weed control of railways. The role involves planning and managing contracts for weed control along railways in Sweden, including line control and manual control of invasive species. The assignment includes coordination with supervisory authorities as well as leading project engineers, environmental, and field resources to ensure the implementation and follow-up of the contracts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and follow up on project work according to governing documents
• Responsible for the project's time, cost, content, quality, safety, working environment, and environment
• Prepare and follow up on estimates, budgets, and forecasts
• Prepare and maintain control programs, control plans, and schedules
• Ensure that necessary operational meetings are held
• Follow up on and drive the project based on time, cost, and content
• Ensure that contractors adhere to construction requirements and regulations
• Report regularly to the section manager or designated responsible person
• Transfer knowledge to Trafikverket employees within current work areas

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Experience from working in project groups where coordination was important.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• At least 3 years of work experience as a project manager within the current technical area (Project Manager general railway). The work experience must not be older than 10 years.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and prescriptions within the current area.
• You must have completed BAS-ÅSK (Basic Safety Training in Construction).
• Knowledge of contract law (AB04).
