Optalmica Eye Clinics is the small big eye clinic. We operate our own clinics and have regional assignments in Eskilstuna, Gävle, Stockholm, and Västerås.

Optalmica Eye Clinic in Gävle currently offers cataract surgeries, including pre-operative examinations. We work on behalf of the Region Gävleborg, and our modern, fresh, and functional premises are centrally located in Gävle at the Medical House on Staketgatan.

Our staff currently consists of a business manager, nurses, assistant nurses, and ophthalmologists.

We are a tight-knit team that enjoys working together and having fun at work. Duties vary depending on whether it is a surgery day or a pre-examination day. Collaboration between the different roles at the clinic and between Optalmica's various clinics is crucial to our operations. We work based on proven medical experience as well as established and company-wide routines and processes.

We are now looking for you who are either an ophthalmic nurse or an operating room nurse for a permanent position at 80-100%, with a start date of September 1, 2026, or slightly earlier.

Your duties will primarily vary between instrumenting or "scrubbing in" for surgery and performing pre-examinations on days when we do not operate. You will also have the opportunity to be our face to the public in our reception on certain days and occasionally work in the sterile area. Since we are a small team, it is very important that everyone can perform the various tasks at the clinic, as we are careful to help each other. We will train you in any tasks you may lack experience in.
