The Oncology Clinic is responsible for advanced care for cancer patients in Gästrikland, Hälsingland, and northern Uppland. We provide both medical treatment and nursing care. Our clinic encompasses various operations: day care, outpatient clinic, inpatient ward, radiotherapy, and palliative teams. We consist of approximately 15 doctors with broad experience. Together, we work to provide safe and close care tailored to each patient. Oncology is a rapidly developing field. There is constant new research and new treatments. We follow this development and utilize new medications that can help patients live longer.

Job Responsibilities

As a specialist physician here, you will work in a team together with our doctors, nurses, and specialist nurses within oncology, as well as in collaboration with other clinics.

Your main responsibilities

• Work on the inpatient ward with responsibility for admitted patients.
• Outpatient clinic work with your own patient activities.
• On-call and standby duties.
• Work within radiotherapy (by agreement and based on competence/preferences).
• Participation in multidisciplinary conferences (MDC) based on interest.
• Supervision of ST-doctors (residents).
• Active participation in the clinic's development and improvement work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have good cooperation skills and thrive working closely with other professions in a team. You are flexible and adapt easily to changing conditions in an operation that is constantly developing. Furthermore, you are structured and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work independently in an efficient manner. We also look for someone who is humble in their approach and has good empathy, allowing you to put yourself in the patient's situation while maintaining a professional perspective in your work.

In the role of specialist physician, you must:

• Hold a Swedish medical license.
• Hold a specialist certificate in oncology.
• Be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Additional qualifications include subspecialization in medical oncology. We also appreciate if you have an interest in research and experience from clinical studies.
