We currently have a large need to hire more substitute kitchen assistants for work in schools and preschools. We offer work on weekdays (Monday–Friday) during daytime (approx. 06:30–16:00), and some evenings and weekends may also occur.

As a substitute kitchen assistant at BILDA, you work in the kitchen at a preschool or school. In schools, it is usually a larger kitchen with several people working together. In preschool kitchens, you usually work together with a chef. As a kitchen assistant, you are responsible for independently or with other staff preparing and serving lunch to the students. Sometimes other meals, such as breakfast and snacks, are also included.

In some kitchens, food is prepared from scratch, while in others, it is only about reheating food. You are also responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, including dishwashing and wiping down surfaces.

BILDA has collective agreements, offers an introductory training, and provides ongoing coaching support and dialogue with an assigned contact person at BILDA.

To work as a substitute kitchen assistant, you need:

• Experience working in a kitchen
• Training in food hygiene
• Interest in food and cooking
• Flexibility and attentiveness
• Ability to speak and write Swedish
• Willingness to travel approx. 1 hour to your assignment

To fit into the role as a substitute, we also believe you have high social competence and are good at taking initiative. You should thrive in an energetic environment and be engaged and responsible in your work.
