We currently have a large need to hire more substitute chefs for work in schools, preschools, elderly care, and residential care facilities. We offer work on weekdays (Monday–Friday) during daytime hours (approx. 06:30–16:00), although some evenings and weekends may also occur.

As a substitute chef at BILDA, you work in kitchens at a preschool, school, large-scale kitchen, or residential care facility. In schools, elderly care, and residential care, it is usually a larger kitchen with several people working together. In preschool kitchens, you usually work alone. As a chef, you are responsible for independently or in collaboration with other staff preparing and serving lunch to the students. Sometimes other meals, such as breakfast and snacks, are also included.

In some kitchens, food is prepared from scratch, while in others, it is only a matter of reheating pre-cooked meals. You are also responsible for keeping the kitchen clean, ensuring that regulations regarding self-control and hygiene are followed, and, if necessary, unpacking and ordering food supplies.

BILDA has a collective agreement, offers an introductory training, and provides ongoing coaching support and dialogue with an assigned contact person at BILDA.

To work as a substitute chef, you need:

• Chef training (certificate must be presented)
• Interest in food and cooking
• Flexible and responsive
• Ability to speak and write Swedish

To fit into the role as a substitute, we also believe you have high social competence and are good at taking initiative. You should also thrive in an energetic environment and be engaged and responsible in your work.
