As a Pump Operator, you have a responsible, opportunity-oriented, and challenging role. It is about delivering, or to be clear – pumping out – the fresh concrete to the right place for our customers, in a safe and professional manner. A task that requires focus, finesse, and collaboration. The Pump Operator's conditions, such as weather, setup location, and concrete type, vary from day to day.

We want to exceed our customers' expectations

For you as a Pump Operator, the workday starts early in the morning. You will often be among the first on site at the construction site where today's pours are to take place. Even if you are sometimes our only representative on the site, you always have access to the entire team's full support and expertise. The process operators, who mix the concrete and guide you on how to best utilize the fresh concrete's properties, the concrete truck drivers, who drive the concrete out at the right time to the right place, and many other skilled people with solid experience and concrete technical knowledge. Together, we want to exceed our customers' expectations regarding quality, expertise, and service and show that we are the best in the industry!

The customer we deliver to can be both private individuals and companies, and you pump to everything from small slabs to larger infrastructure structures. The work is performed mostly outdoors at the construction site, in sunshine as well as in rain and sleet. Your workdays are very varied and depend on your assignment for the day but require great responsibility and your full commitment. If you also have a positive and solution-oriented mindset and a good portion of work enthusiasm, this position might be just for you.

Fresh air and good conversation

On site at the construction, you represent Thomas Betong and become our face to the customer. It is therefore important that you appreciate and value good relationships, collaboration, and service. Your contribution as a pump operator together with your trustworthy contribution in relationships with our customers plays a decisive role in many cases for our continued collaborations.

If you have read all the way here hoping to get the opportunity to drive a lot of trucks, we are sorry to disappoint you. The role of Pump Operator does not revolve around driving, even though you need a valid C-license. Since the fresh concrete should preferably not be transported more than short distances to maintain quality and consistency, the time behind the wheel for you as a Pump Operator will be relatively short.

In addition to the main area of responsibility of pumping concrete, a number of other tasks are included in the role, such as maintenance, repairs, and daily cleaning of the concrete pump and other equipment. Fresh air and good conversation with wonderful colleagues and partners come as a bonus!

Safety comes first

Prefventive safety work being at the very top of your agenda will feel like second nature once you have received our introduction.

Working hours

As a Pump Operator, no two days are exactly alike, and therefore the work is carried out with flexible working hours. Planning of upcoming projects takes place weekly, and as far as possible, you get good notice of extra early mornings and late evenings. But, if you are tired in the mornings, this job is not for you. The workday often starts around 6 AM and ends at 3 PM, depending on the customer's needs.

Meritorious experience

You of course have a great advantage if you have previous experience with concrete, concrete pumping, or work as, for example, a machine operator or crane driver. If you also like tinkering with trucks, you will impress us!
