Forshaga Municipality is growing and developing. We are now looking for a Land and Development Engineer who wants to help create the prerequisites for future housing, businesses, and attractive living environments.
As a Land and Development Engineer, you will have a central role in the municipality's urban planning work. You will work closely with politicians, colleagues, developers, property owners, and residents, and will be involved in projects ranging from idea and planning to implementation. Through your work, you contribute to the municipality's long-term development and have the opportunity to influence how the Forshaga of the future is shaped.
We offer a varied and developmental role with significant personal responsibility and good opportunities for both professional and personal development. You will become part of an organization with short decision-making paths and close collaboration between colleagues and managers, where engagement, cooperation, and joy in work are valued. Here you have the opportunity to make a real difference and contribute to the development of a growing municipality.
Responsibilities
As a Land and Development Engineer, you are responsible for the municipality's land issues and participate in the work of developing new residential areas, business areas, and other urban planning projects.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Land acquisition, land sales, and land allocation
- Drafting and negotiating agreements, such as development agreements, land transfer agreements, and usage rights agreements
- Participation in detailed planning processes and development projects
- Coordination between the municipality, developers, consultants, and authorities
- Project management within the land and development area
- Property law issues and contacts with the Swedish Land Survey (Lantmäteriet)
- Management of the municipality's land reserve and land strategic issues

You have good knowledge of property and land issues, good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, and a valid driver's license (Category B).
It is meritorious if you have experience of land and development issues within municipal operations, property law and land survey issues, project management, contract negotiations, or work with detailed plans and other urban planning projects.
To succeed in the role, you have an interest in societal development and want to contribute to a long-term sustainable development of the municipality. You are engaged, solution-oriented, and enjoy taking responsibility for your tasks. You have the ability to see the big picture while working in a structured and meticulous manner. The role involves many contact surfaces, both internally and externally, which requires you to be communicative, cooperative, and have a professional demeanor. You have an easy time creating and developing good relationships and thrive in a role where collaboration is an important part of the work.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
