What does the role of Nursing Assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care involve?

A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together in the team with nurses, rehab staff, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.

We are looking for you with a genuine interest in older people, where your main tasks are to design safe and secure personal care and support. You support the resident in their daily life and create conditions for a secure and meaningful everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing residents with good, high-quality care and support in accordance with what has been agreed upon with the resident in the implementation plan.

This includes among other things:

• Working as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept "Your Day".
• Personal care and support, and utilizing residents' own resources.
• Working based on Norlandia's concept "Tasty Meal" so that our residents appreciate the food and that the meal experience adds a golden touch to everyday life.
• Documentation according to the Social Services Act; maintaining a social journal and creating and following up on implementation plans.
• Planning, offering, and conducting daily activities, outdoor visits, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individual and group activities.
• Performing service tasks such as apartment cleaning, laundry, escorting, and shopping.
• Receiving and performing delegated tasks, such as medication delegation.
• Taking responsibility in ombudsman roles.
• Actively participating in the organization's quality and improvement work.

About Slottsovalen

Slottsovalen is a small, cozy nursing home for people with dementia. We have space for 40 pensioners. Our unique single-story premises in the castle pavilions of Farsta Castle enable residents to enjoy outdoor time in the castle's inner courtyard all year round. The surrounding environment is also health-promoting, with proximity to both forest and sea!

• You must have proof of the right to use the professional title "undersköterska" (nursing assistant) from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen).
• Previous experience within care and support is meritorious.
• You need to have good knowledge of documentation.
• You command the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.
• We would like you to have good computer skills/computer literacy.
• We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Employment type: Permanent

Scope: 80% according to agreement

Start date: According to agreement

Probation period: We apply a 6-month probation period

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

In the event of employment, you must be able to produce a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (criminal record extract). You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
