SJR is now looking for a business-oriented System Administrator for a consulting assignment within IT production for our client in the insurance industry. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs for six months. For the right person, this can lead to a permanent hire and employment with our client. About the role

As a System Administrator, you will become part of the Specialist Team & IT Production. You will be part of IT Production, which is responsible for all inbound and outbound data to and from our system, as well as system runs. The department functions as a central hub in the business and collaborates continuously with several parts of the organization, including IT development, requirement holders, finance, management, and sales.

The role requires both technical competence and a good understanding of finance and administration, as the work sits at the intersection of technology and business. It requires the ability to handle both perspectives simultaneously. The work includes, among other things, handling data files in connection with import and export, running and monitoring batch jobs, and file transfers to external parties. You are also responsible for monitoring and operating system runs in a back-office environment.

The role also involves ongoing contact with both internal and external stakeholders, including support, meaning you need to thrive in communicating, taking responsibility, and solving problems in everyday life.

Responsibilities

• Handle data files during import and export of information.
• Run batch jobs and ensure that systems execute planned runs correctly.
• Perform file transfers to customers' suppliers, e.g., brokers and insurance companies.
• Be responsible for monitoring and operating system runs in the Backoffice system.
• Maintain ongoing customer contact and provide support/IT support.
• Work with problem-solving and communication in dialogue with both internal and external parties.

Suitable background

We are looking for you who have very good knowledge of Excel, work carefully and with a quality focus, and have strong problem-solving skills even in pressured situations. You have a good understanding of XML file formats and preferably a background in computer science – or alternatively a clear interest in the area, for example through programming courses or similar experience. You enjoy communicating and collaborating with different functions within the organization and appreciate a role where you get to be an important link between technology and operations.
