Do you want to build robust backend solutions where complexity is not a problem, but the challenge itself? At Sinetiq, you will work on real system integration: distributed systems, API design, middleware, and architecture – where you are responsible for making business-critical systems work together reliably and scalably. We are looking for someone driven by designing and building stable backend solutions, and who in the long run wants to take the next step towards technical leadership or architecture.

In this role, you work at the core of complex system environments where you design integration architecture, build services and backend logic, set up communication between distributed systems, and ensure performance, robustness, and scalability.

You will work closely with both development teams and the business, often in technically challenging environments where there are many systems, complex dependencies, and high demands. Common technical areas include API design, middleware and integration platforms, data modeling and database integration, distributed systems and microservices architecture, as well as infrastructure and deployment. You work primarily in a consulting assignment at the client – often in technically advanced environments – either in a team or more independently. In the long run, there are good opportunities to move into an architect role.

• Design and develop backend services for integration between systems
• Build robust APIs and contracts (OpenAPI / AsyncAPI)
• Work with distributed systems where reliability and performance are critical
• Set up and configure middleware and integration flows
• Troubleshoot complex problems across system boundaries (network, data flows, latency)
• Drive technical decisions regarding architecture and design
• Test and verify systems end-to-end

• Have a university degree in computer science or equivalent education
• Have 3–5 years of experience in system development using Java or C#/.NET
• Have good knowledge of integration tools and platforms, as well as experience with API management, middleware, and database handling
• Speak and write fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of network protocols and security principles
• Experience with DevOps methods and tools
• Experience from manufacturing, factory automation, or industrial environments
• Documentation of API contracts (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI)

In addition to technical competencies, great importance will be placed on your personal qualities. As a person, we see that you possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to troubleshoot complex technical issues. You have very good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are a team player who thrives working both independently and in teams with others. You have good organizational skills, with high attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering high-quality work.

This is a consulting assignment, which means that initially, you will be employed by Friday. The ambition from the client and our side is that you will eventually become directly employed by Sinetiq.
