About the Department

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic in Västernorrland is a county-wide clinic with approximately 120 employees. Outpatient care is provided in Örnsköldsvik, Sollefteå, Härnösand, and Sundsvall. In Sundsvall, there is also inpatient and intermediate care in collaboration with Adult Psychiatry and the Children's Clinic. The clinic has a long tradition of a systemic approach in dealing with children, adolescents, and their families. We use various treatment methods, both individually and in groups, based on systemic, psychodynamic, and cognitive perspectives. We are now looking for a social worker (counselor) to join us at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic in Härnösand.

At the clinic in Härnösand, social workers, psychologists, nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and managers work together. We receive families where children and adolescents exhibit serious child psychiatric problems requiring specialized interventions. We have a cross-professional working method and use evidence-based treatment methods with different orientations. Treatment often takes place in close collaboration with other healthcare providers and other networks such as schools and social services. Within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic, there are opportunities for education and further training. There are also opportunities for supervision within the clinic.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date as agreed.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities as a social worker within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry are assessment, investigation, and treatment work at the individual and group levels.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Have a degree in Social Work (Social Worker).

It is an advantage if you

• Have basic psychotherapy training.
• Are trained as a healthcare social worker.
• Have experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Have experience working in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, or Social Services.
