Your workplace

At the clinic in Arvika, we have nine dentists, 19 dental hygienists, and 13 dental nurses. We also have a department for dental care for individuals with special needs (TR), staffed from Karlstad. We are a large and cheerful team divided into two shifts in the 7-7 work model. We have broad competence with a niche within surgery, endodontics, and nitrous oxide.

Our patients are of all ages; we have approximately 10,000 adults, 7,000 children and young people (in total across all units). We have a flat organization in Värmland where we work in teams and close to our specialists. As a new dental nurse, you will have a supervisor throughout your first year so that you can comfortably settle into your professional role. Folktandvården Värmland also has a comprehensive induction program.

Your responsibilities

With us, you will have a varied and stimulating job consisting mainly of assisting, sterilization, and reception duties. If you are interested, there are also opportunities for independent areas of responsibility, for example within prophylaxis with your own patients and other delegated tasks such as taking impressions. The tasks vary between adult and pediatric dentistry. It is important to us that our customers feel satisfied after a visit, which is why we place great emphasis on service and customer care.

If you are at the beginning of your career, you will receive good support from your new colleagues. Furthermore, we give you a great start to your new career as you will participate in Folktandvården's comprehensive induction program, which combines theory with practical work.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you who have a dental nurse degree. You are an independent and responsible person who drives your work forward on your own. At the same time, you enjoy working together with others and contribute to good relationships. You have a natural service focus and treat others in a professional manner.

Folktandvården Värmland is part of Region Värmland and has 17 general dental clinics, distributed across 24 different units – from Sysslebäck in the north to Säffle in the southwest. Additionally, there are clinics within all specialist areas that treat referred patients. We are a forward-thinking organization with quality and competence in focus.
