Controllers for Child and Education Administration – Two Roles, One Team

Do you want to work in a forward-thinking environment where you can work strategically with analysis and operationally with impact on decisions? We are now looking for two controllers who together form a strong team and contribute to the development of the Child and Education Administration.
The Role
One role is located in the Finance Unit and the other in the Child and Education Administration's support staff – but the assignment is shared. Together, you create a holistic economic support and drive development forward.
The roles are designed as a joint assignment where you are jointly responsible for the entirety of operational and financial management. This implies a close and structured collaboration where the roles are mutually dependent. As controllers, you work closely together and complement each other's assignments.
Your collaboration involves:
- Sharing responsibility for support in planning and follow-up processes
- Jointly preparing materials for the administration management and board
- Distributing tasks based on competence and current needs
- Ensuring quality and holistic view in analyses and forecasts
- Supporting managers in current processes and strengthening them in their roles
- Developing working methods and routines within operational and financial management
With slightly different focuses in the team:
Operational Controller
The role is located in the administration's support staff and has a clear operational focus. You are responsible for analyses, statistics, and investigations, and serve as a qualified support to the administration's managers, leadership, and board. The role has a strong development orientation with a focus on efficiency and goal achievement within the operations.
Overall Controller (Finance Unit):
The role is located in the Finance Unit and has a municipality-wide perspective. You are responsible for budgeting, follow-up, investment reporting, and overall analyses, and support the administration director and board in strategic financial matters. This also includes ensuring that municipality-wide routines and standardized working methods are followed. The role also includes system administration responsibility for decision support linked to planning and follow-up processes.
You have broad contacts within the municipality and collaborate closely with managers, colleagues, and external networks.

Is This You – Or You Both?
You thrive working both operationally and strategically. You enjoy collaborating, complementing each other, and taking joint responsibility for the whole. You are key players who create understanding of economics in operations and contribute to better decisions.
We want you to:
- Have a university or college degree in economics
- Have at least three years of experience as a controller
- Be self-reliant but thrive in a team
- Be analytical, structured, and solution-oriented
- Communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- Public administration
- Preschool and school sector
- Project management
- Pedagogically explaining economics to non-economists
- System administration and system development
