What does the job as a nursing assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care involve?

A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together in the team with nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.

We are looking for you with a genuine interest in older people, where your main tasks are to design safe and secure personal care and support. You support the resident in their daily life and create conditions for a secure and meaningful everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing residents with good, high-quality care and support in accordance with what has been agreed upon with the resident in the implementation plan.

This includes, among other things:

• Work as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept Your Day.
• Personal care and support, and utilizing the residents' own resources.
• Work based on Norlandia's concept Tasty Meal so that our residents appreciate the food and that the meal experience adds a golden touch to everyday life.
• Documentation according to the Social Services Act; keeping a social journal and drawing up and following up on implementation plans.
• Plan, offer, and carry out daily activities, outdoor visits, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individual and group activities.
• Perform service tasks such as apartment cleaning, laundry, escorting, and shopping, etc.
• Receive and perform delegated tasks, such as medication delegation.
• Take responsibility in guardian roles.
• Actively participate in the organization's quality and improvement work.

About Sannagården Elderly Care Home

Sannagården Elderly Care Home consists of 30 apartments distributed across four units. Of the four units, one is for people with dementia, and the other three are for people with somatic illnesses.

• You must have proof of the right to use the professional title 'nursing assistant' from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen).
• Previous experience in care and support is meritorious.
• You need to have good knowledge of documentation.
• You must have good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• We would like you to have good computer skills.
• We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Employment type: Permanent

Scope: Approx. 20%

Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement

Probation: We apply a 6-month probation period.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a potential employment, you must be able to produce an extract from the criminal record register. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or alternatively a valid work permit.
