Since 1904, Bakels Group has been a pioneer in the manufacturing, distribution, and technical support for the development of bakery ingredients on the global market. Through product innovation, organic growth, and strategic acquisitions, Bakels Group has established itself as a highly respected player in the market over the past few decades.
Bakels Sweden has over 100 employees, was founded in 1943, and is the oldest company in the group. At Bakels, long-term thinking and collaboration are central to how the business is run. Instead of focusing on quick profits, stable and reliable partnerships are prioritized, making it possible to continue investing in the company's most important resource – its employees. With solid expertise and a strong commitment to the bakery industry, the staff contribute every day to developing both the business and customer relationships.
Bakels Sweden is making a strategic move and establishing a new role in the organization focused on technical sales within the food industry. We are looking for a commercially driven sales profile with technical understanding who wants to drive our journey through growth, develop the business, and create long-term value, grounded in our values of Trust, Respect, and Commitment.
About the Role
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for strategic customers within the industrial segment.
You will work both strategically and operationally to develop the business, strengthen relationships, and create long-term value – for the customer and for Bakels.
You will have significant autonomy and a real opportunity to influence both the business and customer relationships.
An important part of the role is to ensure that customer needs are translated into value-creating solutions by working in close collaboration internally with, for example, marketing, product development, and quality.
The role is based at the headquarters in Gothenburg and reports to the Sales Manager Sweden.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Responsibility: Overall responsibility for defined key accounts – including sales, profitability, and business development for each customer.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement customer-specific business plans in line with the company's overall strategy.
- Customer Centricity: Ensure that customer needs are translated into value-creating solutions through effective collaboration with internal functions such as production, supply chain, quality, and product development.
- Business Development: Identify and drive new projects, product launches, and application opportunities with customers.
- Performance Tracking: Responsible for tracking volumes, price, margin, and forecasts related to own customers.
- Negotiation & Contracts: Lead price negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring long-term profitable business with your customers.
- Internal Collaboration: Coordinate work with production, supply chain, quality, NPD, marketing, and finance to ensure delivery precision, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Desired Experience
- Relevant post-secondary education in economics, sales, food technology, chemical engineering, or similar.
- At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the food industry, ingredient industry, or other related process industries.
- Documented experience in driving complex business deals and long-term customer relationships.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, we see that you are a commercially driven person with technical understanding and strong commercial drive. At the same time, you exude personal confidence and build trust in meetings with customers and colleagues. You are results-oriented, identify potential, and see solutions in both the customer's operations and in our offering, where you translate needs into concrete, value-creating business. The role requires structure and analytical ability to handle tracking, profitability, and contracts, as well as a natural ability to build long-term relationships characterized by stability and trust.
