Zander & Ingeström develops and delivers technical systems for industrial energy production, where each product consists of large mechanical structures with high demands on functionality, strength, and manufacturability. As the business grows, there is an increasing need for a Mechanical Designer who can hold the whole picture together, from external structures to internal solutions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Mechanical Designer at Zander & Ingeström, you work on the design of complete products, with a clear focus on sheet metal and welded structures. You are responsible for both external and internal parts of the systems and ensure that the design works in practice, both in production and in operation.

The role also involves partial project responsibility, where you drive your part of the product from idea and design to a finished solution. You plan, prioritize, and follow up on the work, while collaborating closely with other functions to ensure the whole system works.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with mechanical design in CAD, with a focus on sheet metal
• Design complete products, both external structures and internal solutions
• Create drawings and documentation for manufacturing
• Ensure that designs are adapted for production and assembly
• Work on further development and improvement of existing products
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and other technical functions
• Follow up on designs in the workshop or during installation if needed

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Have a post-secondary education in a relevant field
• Have a few years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with a focus on sheet metal or welded structures
• Have worked with CAD and are accustomed to creating manufacturing drawings
• Understand how design, manufacturing, and the final product are interconnected
• Have good skills in Swedish and English

As a person, you are meticulous and structured in your work, while also having a practical approach and enjoying being close to the physical product. You take responsibility for your designs and ensure they work in reality.
