At Hasselfors Garden, we are looking for a dynamic and innovative Senior Category Manager for our fertilizer and grass seed area.

About the Role
In the role of Senior Category Manager with us, you will be responsible for product and assortment development in the area of fertilizers for Hasselfors, Algomin, as well as private label, taking into account the market and our customers' needs and wishes. You will have the main focus on the Swedish market but in the long term also to some extent for Norway and Denmark.
You drive and develop the category in line with the company's and brand's goals and strategy and are responsible for the product's entire lifecycle – from idea and development to launch and phase-out. You follow trends and conduct market analyses to adapt our product portfolio to market needs. In the role, you will also be involved in the marketing of your product, in close collaboration with our sales and marketing team, to ensure successful products. You also ensure that we follow laws and regulations; good support in these matters is available internally within the company.
You also follow up and analyze sales at the product level and change and improve as needed in relation to our profitability goals and strategies. You drive product development (NPD) such as recipe development, cultivation trials, and the implementation of circular and recycled raw materials. You analyze the results and ensure that packaging labels are correct on our products.
You will belong to Kekkilä-BVB's Nordic brand, marketing, and product team and report to the Vice President in the area. In your daily work, you work closely together with our internal functions such as sales, production, purchasing, customer service, quality, and marketing.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for you who have an academic education in a relevant field and experience in technical product and recipe development.
If you also have knowledge and/or experience in fertilizers, substrates, or related areas, as well as knowledge about raw materials and their impact on cultivation results, chemical legislation, and fertilizer regulations, we consider it meritorious.
To succeed in the role, we believe you have the ability, experience, and interest in developing commercial product concepts and a business mindset where long-term profitability is in focus. If you also have a good understanding of profitability, branding, and the consumer market, we consider it meritorious.
As a person, you are curious, active, and thrive in change. You have good structure and collaboration and project management skills, are solution-focused with an open attitude and a desire to learn new things, renew, and take responsibility. You are analytical and business-minded with a long-term perspective on profitability and enjoy working close to the customer.
You speak and write Swedish and English fluently, have a driver's license (Category B), and experience working in business systems and knowledge of the MS Office package and Power BI.
