Our Operations

This role is for you if you enjoy a broad scope of work, variety, and the desire to learn new skills. Ward 85F2 is a surgical care unit focusing on plastic and maxillofacial surgery as well as burn care, all under one roof. We treat both adults and children, with a mix of planned and emergency patient intake. Patients requiring highly specialized care are admitted from our own county, the region we are responsible for as a university hospital, from across the country, and even from abroad.

We offer varied work with challenges and great stimulation that contribute to the development of your competence. In our specialty, functionality is restored after, for example, tumor diseases, severe body injuries such as burns, and congenital malformations. Reconstructive plastic surgery at Akademiska sjukhuset is recognized as one of the leading centers in plastic surgery both nationally and internationally.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with an interest in surgical care. You are driven, solution-oriented, and curious as a person. Your motto is to always do the best for the patient. Experience in surgical care and/or pediatric care is meritorious but not a requirement.

What We Offer

We are looking for a new nurse to join our team. We offer a permanent position with either two or three shifts. A rotation allowance is provided for three-shift work.

You will receive an induction period of approximately 6 weeks together with a supervisor. The introduction is adapted to your prior knowledge so that you feel secure in your role with us. We agree with you on how working hours during the induction should look. We believe that individualized induction is important as we all have different needs.
