Primary Care Centre Östergötland consists of 33 region-run primary care centres, Vårdcentrum Finspång, the Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centres in the evenings and weekends, and the General Practice Educational Centre. We operate a broad primary care service where we offer care to everyone throughout their lives; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients in the terminal stages of life.

Cityhälsan Centrum Primary Care Centre is centrally located on the old hospital site in Norrköping. The centre is run by Region Östergötland, has approximately 14,100 registered inhabitants in a mixed population, and nearly 60 permanent employees, which means we have broad staffing across different professions.

We work in cross-professional teams. We have four larger teams at the centre, but since early spring, we also have smaller teams where each doctor has their own nurse. We focus on continuity and utilizing each other's competencies.

We are an IBH (Integrated Behavioral Health) primary care centre, and doctors collaborate with psychologists, rehabilitation coordinators, and nurses, which brings significant benefits for patients and staff. The goal is to work together across the entire centre to increase the functional level and quality of life for many patients, as well as enhance their ability to manage their symptoms and avoid medicalization.

We have been an academic primary care centre for several years with growing engagement in research across multiple professions. Job Description

You will have your own clinic, supervise colleagues, conduct child health visits (BVC), and perform other duties typically included in the role of a specialist in general practice at a primary care centre. In the basic tasks, there is often an opportunity to specialize somewhat based on interest and aptitude. The schedule also includes so-called "own booking," where you can decide whether you need the time for patient appointments or administration, thus having influence over your time. We have a monthly division, and listing in Master happens as you come into contact with patients. The listing also takes healthcare intensity into account.

Initiated video consultations during the day may become relevant if you and the patient see a benefit in it. We work with flexible hours. On-call duties are included in the assignment. Cosmic is our work tool. You will naturally receive an introduction so that you have the best conditions for your assignment.

We currently have nine specialists in general practice, one retiree who continues to work with us, and a professor in internal medicine. We have several AT-doctors (residents), seven ST-doctors (specialists in training), and one licensed doctor.

About You

You are a specialist in general practice. Previous work experience in primary care in Östergötland is meritorious. You speak fluent Swedish and have at least level C1.

You are a good listener, non-hierarchical, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and other professional categories. You value the patient encounter and see the big picture. You work responsibly with good quality and see the advantage of continuity and patient-centered care. You can also plan, organize, and prioritize your work. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability for the position.
